The course is intended for Plant Applications Administrators and power users that are responsible for configuration and support of the software within their organization. This is a Distance Learning GE Plant Applications Fundamentals training class, The class will be held over a 5-day period, with classes running from 10:00 am - 3:00 pm, with an hour for lunch. Class procedures are emailed when registration is completed, please review those carefully. Additionally, details will be emailed two weeks prior to the class start date. Training materials are included.
Tuition:
$1,900 billed in advance with Check, Credit Card or Purchase Order. Those wishing to pay via check or invoice must email orders@automatech.com or call 508-830-0088 option 4. Once payment has been received, you will be added to the class registration list. The above link to the Eventbrite registration is for credit card orders only. If you are a Solution Provider or OEM and will be using one of your free training seats, please contact Kim Schofield at kschofield@automatech.com. Once free seat is confirmed with GE, you will be registered for the training class.
Course Overview:
This course provides an entry-level introduction to essential Plant Applications capabilities and applications, and will teach the student how to configure and maintain Plant Applications software. This includes configuring the plant model, products, events, variables, calculations, user displays and user security. Students will also be taught how to use aspecting and the Unified Manufacturing Database, apply quality specifications, setup alarms and SPC rules, track downtime and waste and run Web Displays through GE Vision. Valuable hands-on lab exercises are provided which guide students through the configuration of the out-of-the-box capabilities of Plant Applications.
The following topics will be covered in this session:
- Exploring the Plant Applications architecture and design.
- Creating, configuring and implementing a Plant Model hierarchy.
- Performing aspecting and employing a Unified Manufacturing Database.
- Creating aggregate and custom calculations.
- Defining and applying unit-based and central level specifications.
- Applying alarm and SPC rules in Plant Applications.
- Configuring downtime and waste tracking and using associated client applications.
- Using Web Client Displays.
- Applying the Plant Applications security model and configuring e-signatures.
- Using Server Management tools.

Cancellation Policy: If your plans or budgets change, you may cancel your registration up to 15 calendar days prior to the start of the course without incurring a cancellation or rescheduling fee. Limited enrollment requires us to charge up to 75% of the tuition for cancellations received within 14 days of the scheduled start date. 100% of the tuition will be charged for a failure to attend without 24-hour notice, or for leaving a class prematurely.GE Digital and AutomaTech reserve the right to cancel a class at least 2 weeks prior to the course's start date. In this event of a cancellation, you will be notified immediately and a full refund of the course tuition will be provided. GE Digital and AutomaTech are NOT responsible for any non-refundable travel arrangements.
Substitutions are accepted until the first day of class and free of charge. Please email registrations@automatech.com confirm your substitution.
