The GE Plant Applications Quality course if designed for administrators of GE Plant Applications who want to configure the Plant Applications Quality module.

Prerequisites:

Participants should have successfully completed the GE Plant Applications Fundamentals classroom training or have equivalent experience.

Course Overview:

This 2-day GE Plant Applications Quality course will teach students how to configure the Plant Applications software to capture precise specifications of a product run and manage the quality of all raw materials, in-process products and finished goods. This course provides an introduction to the concept of Specification Management and how the relationship of products with specifications can streamline the process of maintaining product information. This includes learning to configure site specific and equipment specific product specifications, alarm conditions, and statistical process control (SPC) analysis tools. Students will also be taught how to utilize captured Plant Applications data in web enabled analytical tools to expose product relationships for analysis and troubleshooting, and to measure variation in the plant manufacturing process. Valuable hands-on lab exercises are provided which guide students through the configuration of the out-of-the-box capabilities of the GE Plant Applications Quality Module.

Upon completion of this Course, the student will be able to:

  • List the overall capabilities of the Plant Applications Quality Module
  • Describe the concept of Specification Management
  • Create and manage Quality and Process Specifications
  • Configure standard and SPC Alarming to capture reasons for out-of-spec conditions
  • Build a Conformance Model to perform Event and Variable Conformance Analysis
  • Use the available Quality Reports in Plant Applications

Training will begin at 8:30 am and run to approximately 4:30 pm. Office doors open at 8:00 am, and morning pastries, lunch, and snacks will be provided throughout the day. In this event of a cancellation, you will be notified immediately and a full refund of the course tuition will be provided.
