Course Description:
The GE HMI/SCADA CIMPLICITY Fundamentals course is a beginning level course focused on the multiple aspects of project configuration. Valuable hands-on lab exercises are provided which guide students through the building and modification of the HMI application.

Are there any prerequisites?
Participants should have a working knowledge of Windows operating systems as well as some plant floor process experience.

  • Configure Resources, Roles, Users, Ports and Devices
  • Configure points
  • Use the Point Control Panel
  • Create graphic screens
  • Configure Events, Procedures and Actions in screen objects
  • Use the Database Logger to create and configure logging tables
  • Create and configure trend charts using run-time and historical data
  • Configure project Alarms
  • Configure the stand-alone, ActiveX and Historical Alarm Viewers
  • Access methods of CIMPLICITY and 3rd party ActiveX controls
  • Use and modify graphics library Smart Objects
  • Make use of the various animation capabilities of CIMPLICITY
  • Use screen variables
  • Use the Navigation Configuration Editor

In-Person Classes – In person classes are held over a 4-day period, with classes running from 8:00 am – 5:00 pm. Office doors open at 8:00 am, and morning pastries, lunch, and snacks will be provided throughout the day. Please let us know in advance if you have any dietary restrictions and we will be more than happy to accommodate them. Wireless internet will be available, and all training laptops, equipment, and materials will be provided. Details on venue and times will be emailed two weeks prior to the class start date.

Distance Learning Classes – The Distance Learning classes will be held over a 5-day period, with each session running from 8 AM to 3 PM (EST) with an hour break for lunch and, depending on progress, smaller breaks in between lectures and labs. Students are also encouraged to set aside additional time to complete lab assignments as required. Two weeks prior the event, a confirmation email, including classroom link and schedule will be sent. Training materials are included.

Tuition: $2,495 billed in advance with Check, Credit Card or Purchase Order. Those wishing to pay via check or invoice must email orders@secure279.inmotionhosting.com or call 508-830-0088 option 4.     Cancellation Policy:

    If your plans or budgets change, you may cancel your registration up to 15 calendar days prior to the start of the course without incurring a cancellation or rescheduling fee. Limited enrollment requires us to charge up to 75% of the tuition for cancellations received within 14 days of the scheduled start date. 100% of the tuition will be charged for a failure to attend without 24-hour notice, or for leaving a class prematurely.GE Digital and AutomaTech reserve the right to cancel a class at least 2 weeks prior to the course’s start date. In this event of a cancellation, you will be notified immediately and a full refund of the course tuition will be provided. GE Digital and AutomaTech are NOT responsible for any non-refundable travel arrangements.
